ActiveYouthNetwork_LogoActive Youth Network has a simple mission: “To keep kids active in youth sports.” As a volunteer soccer coach (Real Colorado) and a parent of four kids playing soccer, I always felt that it was vital to find innovative ways and unique ideas to help families continue to experience this great game. Active Youth Network has partnered with two great organizations that share a similar mindset in that we are inspired by kids and we want them to achieve at the highest level of their abilities no matter what income bracket their families falls into. So Active Youth Network would like to provide you with the following resources to help assist your club and families end the fall season on a very positive note.
For a successful completion of the fall season, I believe it’s imperative for every coach at every level to provide an informative and educational player evaluation to each player in the club. I would like to invite you to download a player evaluation form I developed over time for my teams. I certainly have found this extremely beneficial to the growth of the player and managing the expectations of the parents moving forward. (Note: the form is most suitable for ages U9 – U14) To download the free evaluation form, please click here: www.activeyouthnetwork/evalform.
We know that coaches will want to have their players work on some technical things at home. Along with this free evaluation form we have teamed up with youthsoccer101.com (Steve – add logo), a leader in online age appropriate activities for players & coaches, to give you free access to over 380 activities.
They are in the process of completing the “Backyard Series” which will allow players to view a weekly video series of essential ball skills and moves to practice at home. To get your free access to youthsoccer101 subscribe HERE
This is the season for giving! And, our partners at theGiftofSoccer.org have made available a support system, for existing soccer clubs and organizations locally and around the country. Many organizations need help and resources to continue to grow and perform at their best. Help can come in the form of donations, organizational structuring, marketing, strategic planning, and sometimes just simple praise. The Gift of Soccer supports the US Soccer Foundation’s Passback Program; new and gently used soccer gear is collected by clubs, teams, and individuals and is redistributed locally in the community and then across the globe. The Gift of Soccer provides Free Collection Forms, Posters, and a Checklist for clubs to help get organized and get the most from the program. Download Free FormsActive Youth Network, Youthsoccer101 and the Gift of Soccer are hopeful you find these Tools & Ideas useful and effective. We welcome your comments and suggestions. With your support, I am confident we can start a connection revolution within soccer to grow our sport, increase the number of participants and to give back to families in need…..thus keeping kids active in soccer!!
