Sharing the Game I Love
From as early as I can remember, I have had a soccer ball at my feet- always dribbling, juggling, or working on tricks. Soccer has been a huge part of my life, and it’s brought me so much joy, confidence, and friendships.
For my Bar Mitzvah project, I want to help other kids experience that same joy. I’m collecting new or gently used soccer uniforms and equipment – cleats, balls, shin guards, jerseys, and more- for children who don’t have access to gear. While I’ve been lucky to get new equipment whenever I’ve needed it, I know many kids aren’t as fortunate.
That’s why I’m partnering with The Gift of Soccer Foundation, an organization that empowers underprivileged youth around the world through the beautiful game of soccer. The collect and repurpose soccer gear, distributing it to humanitarian groups that help children learn, play, and grow. Through soccer, they help build community, open doors to education and health services, and bring happiness to kids in need.

Partnering with The Gift of Soccer is a meaningful Mitzvah project because it channels the simple act of giving into real, tangible change. This is a hands-on way to practice tikkun olam—inviting friends, and family to share what they have, reduce waste, and uplift others.
