One World Futbol Project

The mission at the One World Futbol Project is to make a meaningful impact on the lives of youth around the world through the One World Futbol, a virtually-indestructible ball that never goes flat and never needs a pump. Our goal is to bring the joy of soccer and play to youth in disadvantaged communities so that children can be children no matter where they live.

About “The Ball”

Virtually-Indestructible.  Unlike any inflatable ball on the market, the One World Futbol never needs a pump and never goes flat, even if punctured. The ball is made using state-of-the-art technology that requires no stitching and is designed to have the same rebound characteristics as a traditional soccer ball. It’s the same size and weight as a standard soccer ball, but it can also be used for netball, volleyball, and many other games.

All-terrain.  The One World Futbol is ideal for any playing surface, not just grass or regulation soccer fields: indoors, on concrete, on blacktop, on grass, on a beach, on dirt, or even on a rocky field. The ball can withstand the harshest conditions without deflating.

Founders of Care4Communities, Mike and Kerry Tichi hail from Durango, Colorado.  They have lived there since 1996 and are blessed to call this small, mountainous town home.  However, after a slow, steady gnawing to “go somewhere, and do something really worthwhile”, they first discovered the needs of Roatan, Honduras in 2008.  The ever-growing impoverished communities on this small island made an impact on them.  January 2009, they packed up their family and headed to Honduras after a short stint in language school.

We are coordinating with organizations & people here locally, whom share the vision of uplifting the lives of those on Roatan. We wish to bring entities together, to complement one another, being examples in how organizations & people might work better together. OUR FOCUS: “to grow a few. ” By working with the community of the Colonia, rather than for their community, these brothers and sisters of ours will be given the empowerment, knowledge and faith to live more fully.

The Dribble Daily mission is to improve the lives of citizens using soccer for social change.

We envision a day where every child has access to play the game the world is so passionate about. The world is constantly growing, and we continue to search for a common ground. The football (or soccer) pitch is that common ground. Having experienced first-hand the power the beautiful game has to change the lives of the people of the world, we know it can be a catalyst for positive social change. Working hand-in-hand with communities to design and build simple, safe,  soccer infrastructure is a great way to build community relations as well as transform decaying urban “brown space” into recreational ” green space”. Partnering with local institutions/ non-profits to help build  the field ensures the infrastructure will be properly used and maintained. We hope to:

* Create a safe space for kids and help bridge the gap between ethnically diverse communities through a common passion: soccer.

* Promote the positive byproducts of the game, including: fighting obesity & racism, cultivating leadership, teamwork, discipline, and having fun.

* Help communities around the world address their local environmental problems.

* Convert decaying “brown space” into recreational “green space”.
